Where do you provide your services? One of Sentinel Group Security's main attributes is flexibility and adaptability in both what we do and where we do it. We do not limit our activities to specific geographical regions, but rather assess each potential opportunity on our capability to provide an excellent service. At present 25% of our contracts are within the M25 . We also have large security teams at sites in across the UK. How does Sentinel Group Security recruit, train and retain security staff? Recruitment: Our recruitment team is headed up by one of the most experienced personnel managers in the profession. All candidates undergo stringent vetting procedures in line with the requirements of BS 7858:2006 as well as a Lynx aptitude test prior to being offered employment. Recruitment is normally carried out on an assignment by assignment basis to ensure that the skill sets of new recruits match the particular requirements of our customers. Training & Development: Sentinel Group Security meet the training requirements of the Security Industry Authority (The SIA) with in house courses for both Part 1 (Basic Security Awareness) and Part 2 (Communications and Conflict Management), which have to be passed satisfactorily before new recruits are allowed into an operating environment with customers. Our Training team are qualified by Highfield to provide the SIA training. Sentinel Group Security has its own in-house training academy and holds regular training seminars for all staff levels. Training records are kept for all personnel and are regularly reviewed. Turnover of staff and retention figures: Our working environment is friendly and supportive. This has significant benefits when it comes to staff retention and enables us to put time and resource into the welfare and development of our employees. On top of this we have a clearly defined retention strategy and all leavers are asked to attend an exit interview to ascertain if there were any failings (perceived or real) that we may have made as their employer. Staff turnover statistics for the past five years illustrate that we have extraordinarily high staff retention for the manned security sector. What are your hours of Operation? We work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. What accreditations do you have?
